Usage Note 36568: The sassetup script no longer used to install hot fixes in SASĀ® 9.2 TS2M0 and later
Beginning with SAS® 9.2 TS2M0, the sassetup script is no longer used to install hot fixes.
While the "Install applicable hotfixes" menu selection remains visible and active on the sassetup script in SAS 9.2 TS2M0, it must not be used to install hot fixes. Attempting to install a hot fix using this method will result in errors and could possibly damage SAS system files.
Beginning with SAS 9.2 TS2M0, the correct method for installing hot fixes is via the Maintenance Install Tool, which is included within all downloaded hot fixes.
The "Install applicable hotfixes" menu selection has been disabled and removed from the sassetup script at SAS 9.2 TS2M2.
See SN-36215 for error-related information.
